Blog covering the upcoming NFL CBA negotiations

The NFLPA and the new CBA

NFLPA-Logo2

The point of this blog is to follow the developments of the negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) in the National Football League (NFL).  To put it out there, I am not affiliated with the parties (owners, league office, or union), but my “sympathy” — if you can call it that — is with the Player’s Union (NFLPA).  It is my belief that the the NFL CBA (from which the owners have opted out) is atrocious.  The League has far too much power and the players (who have very short careers in the scheme of ANY job) are often screwed over.

Add to that the self-righteousness of Commissioner Goodell w/r/t to the Vick re-instatement and I’ve finally reached the point where I’m ready to learn more and write about it.  Please send me any info you think would be helpful and share your comments and views.
